Location
Hyacinth Macaws are a type of parrot. They are closely related to scarlet macaws as well as yellow and blue macaws. What Do Baby Birds Eat They are located in countries including southern Brazil and eastern Bolivia as well as small parts of the northeastern region of Paraguay.

Size

Description
Their feathers are of vivid blue color, with brightly contrasted yellow rings around their big eyes that are black and have smaller yellow streaks along the lower part of their beak. Their beaks are sharp and long bent and are dark gray
to black. The Genus name “Anodorhynchus” refers to “toothless beak”. The feet are zygodactylous which means there are two feet facing towards the front and two toes that are pointing behind them.
Behaviors and Adaptations
The most well-known feature of macaws’ hyacinths is their massive and extremely strong beaks. Hyacinths are highly clever birds and have been observed using tools. Their zygodactylous feet allow the feet to function as hands which allows them to grasp objects and make them superb

Reproduction
Hyacinth macaws can mate for the rest of their lives and are very affectionate with other birds and are social. Hyacinths construct their nests by expanding holes that they discover in trees.
Females usually lay a clutch of up or two eggs. Females stay in the egg till they are ready to hatch at which time, the male will feed her. After about a month the eggs hatch and males and females collaborate to provide food to their babies. The babies will remain in the care of their parents for approximately one year.
